Benchmarking of University Performance
Working with the Deputy Vice Chancellor we looked at impact of funding changes, especially the focus on Stem subjects. The relationship between the future of work, and the courses students take today was examined. Currently we're seeing students entering traditional courses such as business, commerce and accountancy. Whereas many of the current and future needs are in education, health and engineering.

Extensive use of the HEIMs and ABS datasets, linked onto live map of Australia with work and population projections. The final deliverable was presented and used as the basis for university direction.
National DCHP Project
Providing data skills for hospitals and researchers
A $2M project across 5 large hospitals, the Dementia Care in Hospitals Program looked at the links between dementia, and cognitive impairment and how changes in nurse training could lead to improvements in care. The Dementia Care in Hospitals program is an all-of-hospital cognitive impairment awareness and communication program.
Roocube's involvement was to handle all the data management, storage and analyis working closely with a team of researchers and clinicians to deliver the successful program
Cohort IQ
Winner of Data Start
Cohort IQ was an ambitious idea, combining machine learning with health data to keep chronic patients out of hospital and direct their care into the community. Partnering with the SWARH network of hospitals, and other teritiary institutions we built and refined a complex genetic algorithm approach. Our predictive scores were excellent, but productising the knowledge and inserting that into a standard patient journey has been the challenge.
